Eating Healthy Food Protects Your Hair

You probably know that balanced diet has positive effect on your health. Balanced diet helps you to protect your body from cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and helps you to lose weight, but did you know that eating healthy food protects your hair too. In order to have a balanced diet you need to eat carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, dairy products and drink a lot of water. The food you eat can influence on your hair greasiness, health of your scalp and quality of your hairs in general. Certain food can cause hair loss, but there is also food which contains substances which solve the problem of hair loss. Check the list of healthy food which should be on your menu if you want to have healthy and thick hair.
Dairy products
These products feed your hair and you won’t get extra kilograms by consuming these. Groceries like cheese and yogurt are cheap and healthy way to keep your hair in a good condition. Hair is consisted of proteins, and dairy products contain a lot of proteins. Fish Species like salmon and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty acids which can significantly slow down the process of hair loss. Fish also contains iron and vitamin B12, which ensure healthy hair and skin. Iron is stored in hair follicles. If body faces the lack of iron, it uses the one stored in hair follicles and that is why your hair suffers if your body faces with iron deficiency.
Whole grains
 Grains contain important nutrients which your hair desperately needs, such as zinc, vitamin B and iron. Zinc has influence on hormone regulation, which directly affects hair growth and thickness. If your body has enough zinc, your skin will be protected. Nuts Nuts are also great source of zinc. Nuts also contain selenium, which is very important mineral for scalp health and which lows a chance to get dandruff.
Beans 
Beans are also important for your hair because they contain iron, zinc and proteins which are important for your hair health. They also contain biotin which can prevent split ends.
 Carrot 
You’ve probably heard that carrots are good for your eyesight, but carrot is also great for your hair. Carrot contains vitamin A which helps your hair to be shinny by producing natural oils in your hair.
Green leafy vegetables 
Green leafy vegetables such as spinach and broccoli contain iron and calcium, very important substances for
your hair. They also contain natural oil called sebum, which has effect on your hair quality. This oil represents a natural conditioner for your hair and green food contains a lot of vitamin A and C which are important for sebum production.
This was the list of food which plays a significant role when it comes to hair quality and health. Try to have a balanced diet, and eat different food in order to provide all important nutrients for your hair.
